Ceramic XL Lace Pebble Dish

Ceramic XL Lace Pebble Dish
Deep within us, rocks hold an instinctive appeal, much like our ancient draw to fire. These elemental forms have shaped human evolution, making our connection to stones a natural part of who we are.
When creating this piece, I began with a single pebble. Its rounded yet irregular shape felt honest a form shaped by time, tides, and quiet persistence. It reflects the forager’s way of noticing beauty in the overlooked; the gentle curve of something the earth has already perfected.
Pressed into the surface is an impression of vintage lace. Lace has always carried its own quiet symbolism: the idea of memory woven into pattern, of hands that once created something delicate, thread by thread. In this piece, the lace becomes a meeting point between earth and story, the solidity of stone holding the fleeting intricacy of fabric. It speaks to the way our lives layer themselves over the natural world, leaving traces, textures, and meaning.
The result is a dish that embodies subtle harmony: the grounding weight of a pebble with the soft echo of heritage. Beach stones are often associated with gratitude and gentle alignment, and the added lace impression brings a touch of ancestral warmth, a reminder that we are shaped both by nature and by the stories passed down to us.
A tactile, calming piece designed to hold small treasures, still moments, or simply a little beauty by your side.
Adorned with 24kt gold lustre.
